Jen Kober loves to make people laugh. Born and raised in Louisiana, Kober draws lots of her material from her Southern upbringing and her abnormal obsession with the Home Shopping Network. Kober was trained in Chicago at both Second City's Player's Workshop and Improv Olympic. Kober was most recently seen as the fat ethnic chick onstage at the COMEDY WAREHOUSE on Disney's Pleasure Island. Kober has worked for Regis Philbin as the audience warm up for his tapings of WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE filmed in Orlando. Kober also appeared on LIVE with REGIS & KELLY, CNN and GOOD MORNING AMERICA as part of the National Press Event for Walt Disneys 100th birthday celebration. While performing 5 nights a week as an improviser at Disney's COMEDY WAREHOUSE, Kober honed her quick wit and worked with such comedy greats as Chris Tucker, star of RUSH HOUR and FRIDAY, and Wayne Brady of ABC's WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? Kober cut her Disney wings in 2002to go on a national tour with her new comedies, JUNK IN MY TRUNK and THE AGE OF HILARIOUS. Jen was the National Champion in Stand-Up Comedy at the 2002 HOUSTON COMEDY GAMES, which got her a headlining spot at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival, where Jen Kober & The Wicked Funny Hella Cool Band were voted Best of the Fest. Kober's other one-woman shows include Subcity, I Know What You Ate Last Summer, and POTBELLY.
Kober is now the cohost of
"Justin and Jen in the Mornings"
with Justin Kase on B104 in Lake Charles, LA,
and still travels all over the country performing her
hilarious musical improv Stand-up Comedy.
Kober will have a small part in the movie "HOME OF PHOBIA" starring Sam Huntington, Kaitlyn Doubleday, Marla Sokoloff and John Goodman. It should be released in May of 2004.
